We are studying how the intersection at Bennington Street and Saratoga Street in East Boston works to identify safety issues as our first step in the Bennington & Saratoga Safety Project. Many safety issues are not captured by data alone, so we need your input to fill in the gaps.
Your feedback will help guide safer design solutions.
As part of the PLAN: East Boston initiative, residents of East Boston identified the Bennington/Saratoga intersection as a barrier between the Orient Heights MBTA Station and community destinations around the Orient Heights Square and Constitution Beach.
Now, we have funding to develop a new design! We are gathering public feedback this spring and look forward to hearing from you. We will work with you to refine the design at every step of the process.
Our project is funded through an Implementation Grant awarded by the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program.
